Dear Gwendolyn

by | Issue #1, Issues

Skies of blue have faded away
because what is life
without restful taste of love
so, tell me what kept you going—

how many would like to know.

Here comes the sky decorated
to take your voice away
back turned to the stars
so, the vibrant streaks pave a way—

how many would like to know.

From grass blades of pastel
your grace pulls the water
underneath soil, golden and flared,
so, tell me what kept you going—

how many would like to know.

A breath is chanting
what was and now is
stuck between peace and its thrill
so, this is what kept you going

how i would have liked to know.
